About Desert Pacific Exterminators

Steve Hawkins is the Owner/Operator and has over 30 years experience in the Pest Control business and Termite Extermination. He also has a General Contractor License. He worked for another company for about 10 years before starting his own business "Desert Pacific Exterminators". Steve has lived here in the Hi-Desert since the 1980’s and has been coming out to the desert to his grandparent’s house in Joshua Tree from the 1960’s. He has always loved the desert and has seen a lot of changes.

Laurie Hawkins is really the boss, as we like to call her. She works in the office and schedules the customers. She does all the accounts receivable and payable. She keeps the guys organized. She has worked for the business behind the scenes for the past 16 years and currently holds two licenses: Pest Control Field Representative and Termite Field Representative. Laurie is currently working on getting her Operators License. Occasionally, she works in the field doing Termite Inspections.

Randy Randles has been with the Desert Pacific Exterminators family for over 6 years now. He has two licenses: General Pest and Termite Field Representative. He loves his job and he is great with people. He is one of 15 children. Randy currently does most of our pest control customers and they know they are getting his expertise and familiar face every month.

Cathy Burns is our Receptionist. She comes with many years of experience of scheduling and customer service. She is friendly and works well with the crew. She recently moved here to Yucca Valley and is getting to know all the areas very well.

Kaleb Buchanan is our new addition this summer. He has lived here most of his life and knows the desert very well. He has a great personality and customers like him a lot. He is very responsible and dependable. He is currently getting his licenses in Pest Control. He assists Steve in the day to day operations and has become quite the bee killer this year.
